Click for more detail... First Licensed as WB1AIN in Connecticut I was interested in radio since I could turn on my grandparents "Shortwave" receiver. Always building electrical projects my mother thought I would get electrocuted or burn the house down. Neither happened and I went on to Technical High School in Ansonia Connecticut studying Electronics. Working as an electronics assembler and technician part time while studing for an associates degree increased my desire to get on the air. At Waterbury State Technical College I joined the Radio Club directed by Joseph Sebas W1SYG (now a silent key) and he inspired me and others to get and upgrade our licenses. Shortly therafter I passed the Extra Class exam. I went on to a Bachelors Program at the University of New Haven where I helped with WNHU since I had obtained my First Class FCC License. I worked for Connecticut Public Television while finishing college. Since then I have moved to California and worked for companies such as Hughes Aircraft and an assortment of smaller companies. I now live in Palm Springs, CA (DM13).My interests are collecting and restoring old tube radios, VHF DXing, and portable operation. My brother Philip is also licensed N6SRV.
