| Hello, I have a very clean and scarce Clegg Apollo Six 6 mtr amplifier for sale. It's a low drive amp(15 watts) for 375 watts out and you wouldn't expect a pc. of gear made in 1965 to be in this good of condition. Asking price is $600 or B.O. Also have an Icom IC-725 HF rig that looks decent and works great(optional UI-7 am-fm unit not installed) asking $300 or B.O.An Icom IC-260A 2 mtr. This is a 3-year old Spectrum Communications Model S-7R FM Repeater & Full Duplex Base Station with a Db Products Model 4075 4-cavity duplexer. It is currently operating on 443.275 - 448.275 Mhz in Eastern Nebraska.
This 12VDC repeater has an internal ID'r, speaker and palm mic. Measured transmitter power is 40.7 watts, measured receiver sensitivity is .19microvolts. See http://www.spectrumcoms.com/ for additional features.
Repeater is presently installed in a standard 1/3-high 19-inch rack. At buyers option, can ship only the repeater and duplexer, or the complete rack and components.

Kenwwood TS-830S Station, Part or Whole |

Buy yourself a Christmas present, or maybe one for someone on your list! Selling a Kenwood TS-830S Transceiver and MC-35S Hand Microphone, SP-230 Speaker, VFO-230 VFO, and AT-230 Antenna Tuner. The transceiver comes with spare tubes (three Sylvania 6146B). Operating and service manuals for each unit are either in printed (copy) or electronic form (CD-ROM).
I bought this setup earlier this year to see if the TS-830S was as nice as everyone said it was - it is indeed. See my review at eham.net: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/440.
I recently received an Elecraft transceiver kit as a gift, and my wife said I have to make some room if I want to put it together, so I decided to sell the Kenwood setup. The station works very well. I have no problem getting 100W out CW, and phone is not so strong unless compression is used (75W?), but I am probably not loading things properly. I am no expert when it comes to tube equipment - sorry. The speaker, VFO, and tuner work fine. In fact, the tuner is better than fine - it is amazing! The equipment has normal usage marks - somewhat dusty from being in storage for about 12 years by the original owner, so I'd give it about an 8 out of 10 in cosmetic apperance. It should clean up very nicely, but I didn't want to do that since I know some folks are quite particular and prefer to do it themselves. I have tested the station as much as I can to see what might need attention, and all I can find are the following:
- clean the TS-830S bandswitch and RF attenuator contacts (a little fiddly when switching sometimes)
- replace TS-830S S-meter light bulb (bulb burnt out)
- TS-830S mode switch decorative front panel backing collar is loose (not sure why)
- TS-830S 110 VAC cord has electrical tape on it (apparently was cut off and another soldered onto it - an OK job, but I'd make it a little neater if I was going to keep it)
- VFO-230 sometimes has incorrect reading when powered on, but resets to correct frequency when buttons to change frequency source are selected (perhaps this is normal?)
I have left the station set up in my shack in case you would like to try making contact over the air. My asking price is: $425 for the transceiver and microphone, $80 for the speaker, $250 for the VFO, and $225 for the antenna tuner. I am asking $825 for the set. Shipping is NOT included in the prices. I will take offers for a few days to see whether the station will be sold altogether, or in pieces - whatever works out best.
I have the original box for the TS-803S, but not for the rest. Everything will be shipped double-boxed with packing foam, insured. I prefer to use FedEx Ground as the least expensive, most reliable carrier, but any carrier you like is fine. In any case, you will only pay actual shipping charges - nothing will be added on.
