HF related items - CW items, Power Supply, Microphones, Headset, Filters, Connectors, |
Sat Nov 15 07:41:31 2008 |
HF and related items For Sale:
TenTec Scout 555 and Argo 556 accessories:
TenTec Scout 555 / Argo 556 Band Modules
These are the modules that plug in to either the TenTec
Scout or Argo, to give additional band coverage.
Band modules are available for 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, and
10 meters.
Non-WARC band modules are $65 each.
WARC band modules (30 and 17 meters) are $70 each.
TenTec 296 mobile mount for 555 Scout
Nice clam shell type of mount in extremely good
condition.
With paper work for $50.
Power Supply:
Triplite Phase III, PR-12 Power Supply
This power supply will furnish 13.8 V DC at up
to 12 amps. This means it is just right for
most 2 meter or dual band rigs in the 50 Watt
range, or lower powered HF rigs.
This supply is surge protected, over voltage
protected, and has an internal control to adjust
the current limiting. This means that the current
limit can be adjusted so that it cuts off if your
rig sees a high SWR.
This particular supply works fine, and looks very
nice also. $40
CW items:
MFJ 422 B electronic keyer
This keyer includes sidetone, and has adjustments for
volume, tone frequency, and weighting, as well as speed.
It will key either positive or negative voltages, and is
powered by an internal 9 V battery, or external 5 to 9
volt supply.
It is made to go on the back of a Bencher Paddle.
It works 100%, and looks great also. With paper
work for $45.
Generic Code Key
This is a very generic code key. It is mounted on a nice
wood base that is finished and looks very nice. $15
Cable for straight key
Similar to cable for paddles, but has a mono 1/4 inch
phone plug on it, as is used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $5
Cable for paddles
This cable is about 3 feet long, and has 1/4 inch stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. It looks
great. $8
As above, but 1/8 inch plug. $8
Code Practice Key / Buzzer:
Herald Electronics Co. Model SW-12 A
"Telegraph Key with Buzzer"
This is a very vintage unit. It is in its original
box, with the paper work, with an address of simply
"Chicago, Ill", with no zip code, and not even a zone.
I would guess 1950's vintage, but of course that is a guess.
The unit consists of a code key built into a base that
appears to be bakelite. The key is somewhat similar to
a J-38 (without a shorting bar), with shiny nickel plated
knurled nuts. The key has a regular knob, and not a navy
knob. Behind the key is a round cover over the buzzer,
and behind that is a place for a single D cell battery.
The unit is complete with the original instruction sheet,
in the original box. $40
Cassette Code tapes:
Radio Shack "Novice Class"
This set of two cassettes starts at the Introduction and
Learning the Code, up thru preparing for the 5 WPM test.
These are original tapes in good condition.
Two tapes for $9
CW Related books:
Ameco "Mastering the Morse Code"
First Edition, 1957 $8
Ameco Code Course
This book looks like it might be made to go with the Ameco
code records. There is general information about the code,
but portions of the book list what is being sent by the code
records. There is also a diagram about how to make a code
practice oscillator from a 50C5 and 35W4. There is no date
or edition on it, but the tube type CPO somewhat dates it! $5
ARRL Code Kit - 1976
This is the booklet only, that originally went with a kit of
cassette tapes. This has the info that is contained on the
tapes listed in it. If you have the tapes, and need the booklet
to go with it, this is for you. If you just want to read about
it, this is great also. $2
Microphones:
Regular hand microphone
Electret Condenser microphone
Generic Black mic, with gray PTT bar. Requires polarizing
voltage. $25
Lafayette EAM-15 dynamic hand microphone
2000 ohm impedance can be used any place a dynamic
mic is needed. Stripped and tinned leads.
It works fine, and looks good also. $25
Touch tone (DTMF) microphones:
CES 600 L, Universal DTMF microphone
This has a normal touch tone pad on the front, along with
a low impedance microphone. This one has the 8 pin
modular plug (like a computer LAN) on it. This mic has
not been used, so it is in really great condition.
Paper work included for $40.
Drake 1525 EM Touchtone (DTMF) Microphone
This is the mic that was used to add a touchtone pad to
a lot of rigs in the 70s and 80s. Normal hand mic from
the front, but has a touchtone pad on the back. Four
pin mic plug. This particular unit has been used, but is
in good shape and includes paper work. $38
KDK Model TM-2 DTMF Mic
With touch tone pad and up-down switches. It presently
has a 6 pin connector for the KDK 2030, but that can
be changed. Nice condition. $40
CES "Micropad" touch tone mic
No model number on it, but it has a 12 digit pad on the
back. Low Z mic element with round 8 pin connector
wired for Kenwood. $38
Data Signal "Data-Coder 5" touch tone mic
This mic has a 12 digit touchtone pad on it, plus a
normal low impedance microphone. With 4 pin plug.
Like new. $38
Icom HM-56 A, DTMF touch tone microphone w/up-down switch
This electret mic has a 16 digit DTMF touchtone pad on it
along with other special buttons. It also has 14 memories
included in it for remembering phone numbers to dial. It
works with the Icom 28, 38, 228, 229, 449, 901, 1201, 2330,
2400, 2410, 2500 and others. This mic also has an up and
a down switch on it. Basically, it is like an HM-12, but
with DTMF pad and memories added. These are about $170 new,
so that gives some idea of its sophistication!
This one is still in its box, with paper work. I do not
think it has ever been used. $95
Headphones:
Generic headset
Smaller ear pieces just over an inch in diameter, so they
do not completely cover your ear.
With 1/4 inch mono plug; 16 ohm impedance.
Good condition. $18
Phone patches or digital interfaces:
Although designed to be used as a phone patch, to
connect your rig on both transmit and receive to a
telephone line, these can also be used to interface your
rig to a sound card. There is an internal audio
transformer inside, just like on some of the "interface
boxes" being sold today.
Kenwood PC-1 phone patch/digital interface
This is the model with the 4 pin connectors, although
they can be changed, if needed. It includes a nice meter
for adjusting the null so VOX will work OK.
This particular unit works fine, and looks very, very good.
No scratches. With paperwork for $40
Heath HD-15 Phone Patch / Digital Interface
This is the unit with the VU meter on the left and 3 knobs
that match the SB series to the middle and right. Low or
high Z output to the transmitter. It can also be used as an
interface to the computer for PSK31, etc. It is in good
shape. Paper work included for $25.
Low Pass TVI Filters:
Nye Viking Low Pass Filter Model 020-001
This filter is rated at 2000 watts, with over 65 db of
attenuation above 57 MHz. These are about $60 new;
this one is close to new for only $35.
Johnson 250-20 Low Pass Filter
This is a 52 ohm cylindrical low pass filter with a cut
off frequency of 45 MHz and 75 db of attenuation.
It is rated to take 1000 Watts of AM, or 5000 Watts
PEP SSB. It has SO-239 connectors on each end.
$35.
Drake TV-3300-LP Low Pass Filter
This is a modern low pass filter to go between your transmitter
and antenna, and has been optimized to have more attenuation
in the 40 MHz region, where many TVs have their IF. It is good
for 1000 Watts "average" according to the manual, and has
over 80 db attenuation at 41 MHz. This one looks great, and
includes the paper work. $ 35
B & W model 426 low pass filter
B & W TVI filter, cuts off just above 10 meters,
and will handle 1500 Watts. SO-239 connector on each end.
This is an older model that seems much heavier duty. It weighs
almost twice as much as the newer model, and looks like it
would take more power. It likely was made in the days that
plate modulated AM was the rule. $30
B & W FL-10/1500 (Formerly known as model 425) low pass filter
B & W TVI filter, 50 ohm. It cuts off just above 10 meters,
and will handle 1500 Watts. SO-239 connector on each
end. This is the latest model B & W filter. It is in very nice
condition; it looks very close to new. $ 40.
Hustler HF mobile high power antennas:
"Super" high power resonators (good for 2 KW PEP):
15 meter RM-15 S $18
10 meter RM-10 S $16
All work fine and are in great cosmetic condition.
Antenna Mount:
Ironworks "Connect Quick" CQ-1 Antenna Mount
Connect Quick Antenna Mount is a mounting plate system
that provides a rapid and secure means of attaching items
such as antenna booms to masts, solar panels to posts,
sound and lighting installations, and other similarly mounted
devices. Installation and removal are accomplished in a snap!
It is designed primarily for use in emergency communications /
portable antenna systems. More details can be found at
http://www.connectquick.net/
The unit appears to be heavy aluminum and stainless steel.
This one was won at a hamfest, so it is new, still sealed in the
original packing. They are $35 from the web site. This one is
only $24.
Coax connectors and adapters:
Prices are per connector.
BNC male
standard type - $2

square mount (uses 4 screws) - $3

My swapmeet sales on QRZ are not-for-profit. As a service to
my friends and acquaintances, I help them and/or their survivors

TenTec Omni VI Opt3 with TCXO & 5 Filters |
Sat Nov 15 05:52:20 2008 |
Much as I hate to do it, it is time to part with one of my Omni 6 Option 3 rigs. I just can’t support four rigs at this time.
This is a beautiful transceiver that works as it should. I know of no issues with it. Details of the configuration of the rig are as follows:
TenTec Omni VI Opt 3 Ser. No. 40A10082
TenTec TCXO
TenTec Model 288 Xtal Filter
1.8 KHz at 6.3 MHz IF
TenTec Model 285 Xtal Filter
500 Hz at 6.3 MHz IF
TenTec Model 282 Xtal Filter
250 Hz at 6.3 MHz IF
TenTec Model 219 Xtal Filter in the N1 position
250 Hz at 9 MHz IF
TenTec Model 216 Xtal Filter for RTTY in the N2 position
500 Hz at 9 MHz IF
With all 5 filters equipped and a TCXO, this is a great rig ready for contesting, chasing DX or just plain rag chews. It is proven on CW, SSB and the digital modes.
I am a non-smoker and the previous owner was a non smoker. There are absolutely no signs or smells of smoking around this transceiver.
I have used this rig with N1MM logger for control and contesting as well as with MixW2 software for RTTY and PSK-31. All remote functions and logging work very well through both computer programs.
Output is as it should be. QSK is legendary TenTec. That means that it is great. All bands work.
Of course, the TenTec manual is included.
My prices include shipping and insurance. No need to add additional charges. I accept PayPal, USPS Money Order or personal check. Please understand that a check must clear before shipment can be made.
If you pay with PayPal, the price is $1550, shipped and insured
If you use a Money Order, the price is $1500, shipped and insured
The transceiver and manual will be very carefully packed and protected to arrive ready to go on the air. This is a fully working rig. As with electronic equipment, however, it is sold as is.
Please respond to my e-mail directly. No need to bother the group with our communications. It's d.e.warnick@comcast.net
Thanks for looking
