Yaesu FT-8900 & YSK-8900 |
Sun Nov 16 21:47:07 2008 |
Yaesu FT-8900 Quad Bander 28/50/144/440MHz Mobile Radio Radio is in excellent overall condition with one minor issue – one of the four mounting bracket screws snapped while removing the radio from the bracket on my desk shelf. Someone with a good hand and drill could probably get it out No scratches or gouges, maybe a small mark where the bracket presses against the radio, and maybe a few hairline marks on the display window from normal cleaning/dusting, but only visible in direct sunlight if you look for them. Otherwise, the radio looks close to new. It has never been mobile. Includes original box, packing, manual/warranty card, mic, power cord, mobile bracket, and hardware. Also includes the YSK-8900 separation kit. $360 shipped conus. Paypal will be accepted if you cover the fee (approx. $10), otherwise postal m.o. accepted. Eric KE2D kk2ed@comcast.net 609-713-3742 |

CDE HAM-II rotor and control box |
Sun Nov 16 21:29:46 2008 |
CDE HAM-II Rotor & Control Box CDE HAM-II rotor. Date Code/ Stamping is 5-536. From an estate sale. No lower mast adapter (can’t find it, and this was in a tower, so the original owner may never have had it). The combo has been sitting in storage the last 5 years or so. The motor housing and mast bracket hardware are in good shape. The bottom screw terminals were covered in silicone, and aren’t bad, but from age they could use a cleaning or replacing. The control box is the older black top / white bottom case with anodized-looking front face. The control box is in fair shape. The meter movement is fine, and all controls work perfect, and the covers are in fairly decent shape, but the only negative is that the front panel looks like it has sparkly marks all over it. It looks almost like pitting from age, but the surface feels smooth. Almost as if something stained it at one time. It’s not that bad, but I’m trying to give an honest overall description, so I won’t give it a “good” rating. Maybe those less picky would not care. I hooked it up on my bench using the 40ft or so of 8-conductor cable I found with it (to be included). The brake action is as expected. The rotor takes few seconds to start turning once the direction levers are depressed, but it does turn most of the time. I’m guessing either the motor cap is on the way out, or the housing unit bearings could use a good reconditioning and greasing. The terminals may also be introducing some resistance. Overall, the combo needs a little TLC before being installed, but seeing what MFJ is getting for the new HyGain units, the package is being priced right. A good deal for someone familiar with rebuilding them. Due to the age, it is being sold as is. Photos attached. $200 plus shipping. Paypal will be accepted if you cover the fee (approx. $6), otherwise postal m.o. accepted. Eric KE2D kk2ed@comcast.net 609-713-3742 |

icom 746 "not pro" atlanta GA |
Sun Nov 16 20:55:39 2008 |
Hello, Icom IC-746 HF/VHF transceiver. $750.00 obo.
cosmetically: it has a scratch or two, nothing major. functionally: perfect as far as my current license class allows me to test. "The ICOM IC-746 covers 160-10 meters plus 6 and 2 meters. 100 Watts of output is available on all bands - HF, 50 MHz and 144 MHz, making the IC-746 a practical choice for all-around base station use. The die-cast aluminum chassis and a large cooling fan help to stabilize the PA circuit, providing 100% full duty cycle operation. It has 100 alphanumeric memories, spectrum display, Twin PBT, CTCSS encode/decode, APF, two stage preamp, automatic antenna tuner and electronic keyer. DSP digitally transposes receive audio components in all modes of operation to produce desired AF frequency characteristics at the IF stage of the transceiver. This built-in DSP provides: noise reduction, automatic notch filter and selectable APF. The digital bar graph meter displays ALC, power output and SWR simultaneously! The radio automatically selects from the three separate antenna inputs (HF, 6 meters, 2 meters). A built-in automatic antenna tuner operates on the HF bands plus 6 meters. The 746 requires 12 VDC at 20 amps. The IC-746 comes with HM-36 hand mic, spare fuses, DC power cable and key plug. 11.3x4.8x12.5 inches. 20 Lbs. " This radio is NOT dead; I used it for a net roughly 15 minutes ago as of this posting for a pic of this model* radio see the following links: http://www.rigpix.com/icom/ic746.htm (there is a scratch on this radio in the upper left-hand corner, just cosmetic. *the pic is a stock photo, not of the one for sale. review from eham.net: http://www.eham.net/reviews/detail/176 4.7/5.0 this radio has had the full TX mod done; if you buy it be mindful so you do not get yourself in trouble. 73's I'm happy to let licensed ham's test this radio as is; there is a 2 meter antenna & a 80-10meter windom currently hooked up to it* *the windom is setup in a less than optimal way
location is Marietta GA 30062
reason for sale: I bought a used ic-706mkIIg to use as a base & mobile

Kenwood TS-530SP |
Sun Nov 16 18:56:46 2008 |
recently upgraded to an Icom 706MkIIg, and the XYL insists that the Kenwood goes to help recover the cost.
So, I'm putting her up for sale. The display works fine, the backlight behind the meter works fine. Everything works fine. I have not discovered any problems with this radio. It was my first HF rig and it served me well, and I wish I could keep it as a backup rig. It includes the MC-50 mike, which also works perfectly. The plastic clip that holds the mike at the top of the stand is broken. It should be easy to find, but I haven't bothered since I use PSK exclusively and have little use for a microphone. The cosmetic condition is good, I took a picture of the biggest blemish, of which there are only a few. Just minor scuffs from use.

I'm asking $300, shipped anywhere in the CONUS. Paypal preferred, but I'll take postal money orders. No western union, and no I won't ship to nigeria ;) Must have an FCC issued callsign.

Yaesu MD-200A8X |
Sun Nov 16 15:31:37 2008 |
Lightly Used Come's with original box and use in a non smoking enviroment less then 6 months old Mic works great just wanted something I could boom mount. Looking for $220.00 shipping included The Yaesu MD-200A8X ultra-fidelity desktop mic was unveiled at the 2001 Dayton Hamvention. This stylish, high-quality desk microphone is designed for the latest generation of Yaesu HF transceivers. The MD-200A8X employs a studio-quality Polyethylene Teraphthalate Film Dynamic element, optimized for high fidelity SSB operation, allowing faithful reproduction of the operator's voice during operation with negligible distortion. Yaesu's exclusive VSPC (Variable Side Pressure Control) allows the operator to adjust the frequency response of the microphone, from a totally flat response to a high-articulation response with moderate peaking about 2000 Hz. The VSPC technique provides this response control without the distortion and reduced signal-to-noise ratio that can accompany active "equalizer" circuits. The MD-200A8X also includes provision for the incorporation of a user-supplied Dynamic, Magnetic or Crystal microphone element, allowing A-B selection of the supplied dynamic element and the custom element. A slide switch on the base of the mic allows easy switching. This mic also has up-down scanning and transmit LED that are supported by most Yaesu radios. The MD-200A8X is constructed using a heavy-duty aluminum die-cast base and support frame, with a rubber shock absorber for the mic element housing to dampen low frequency vibrations. The mic cable terminates to an Yaesu 8 pin mic plug. Specifications Microphone Element: Dynamic Frequency Range: 30-17000 Hz. Sensitivity: -62 dB (1 kHz, 0 dB = 1 V/1 pa) Impedance: 600 Ohms Dimensions: 4.7x11.4x5 inches (120x290x125mm) Weight: 2.2 Lbs (1 kg). |
